How do I activate my Doortagg tag?

After purchasing, simply open the Doortagg app, tap 'Add Tag', and follow the instructions to scan your NFC tag. You'll be guided through the activation process in just a few minutes.

Do visitors need to download an app?

No! Visitors simply tap their phone on the NFC tag and their phone browser opens automatically. They can ring the doorbell and chat with you without downloading anything.

Will this work if I'm abroad?

Yes! As long as you have an internet connection (WiFi or mobile data), you'll receive notifications and can chat with visitors from anywhere in the world.

Does it work with both iPhone and Android?

Yes! NFC technology works with all modern iPhones (iPhone 7 and newer) and Android phones. Visitors don't need any special app - just tap and go.

What happens if I don't answer?

If you don't respond, visitors can leave a message for you. You'll be able to see all doorbell rings and messages in your app's history section.

Does it need batteries or power?

No! The NFC tag is completely passive and requires no batteries or power. It will work indefinitely without any maintenance.

Can I share access with family members?

Yes! With a PRO subscription, you can add household members who will also receive notifications when someone rings the doorbell. Perfect for families.

How do voice notes work?

Both you and your visitors can send 30-second voice notes during chat sessions. Just hold the microphone button to record and release to send. Voice notes are automatically deleted after 24 hours.

Can I use it on multiple doors?

Each tag can only be registered to one door. However, PRO subscribers can register multiple tags. Every order includes two tags (one dark, one light).

Is my privacy protected?

Absolutely. All communications are encrypted. We don't share your data with third parties. Visitor sessions expire after 10 minutes and all chat data is automatically cleaned up. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

What's the difference between Basic and PRO?

Basic is free forever and includes all core features for a single door. PRO adds household member sharing, multiple door support, priority notifications, and advanced features. PRO includes a 14-day free trial.

Can I cancel my PRO subscription anytime?

Yes! You can cancel your PRO subscription at any time through the app. Your tags will continue to work with Basic features.
