2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account Information

When you create an account with Doortagg, we collect:

  • Email address - Used for account creation, authentication, and communication
  • Name - Optional display name for your account
  • User ID - Unique identifier automatically generated for your account
  • Subscription tier - Whether you have a Basic or PRO subscription
  • Email verification status - Confirmation that you have verified your email address

2.2 Device Information

To provide our notification service, we collect:

  • Push notification tokens - Unique tokens that allow us to send notifications to your device
  • Device platform - Whether you use iOS or Android
  • Device identifier - Unique identifier for your registered device
  • Device count - Number of devices you have registered to your account
  • App version - Version of the Doortagg app you're using

2.3 NFC Tag Data

When you activate Doortagg NFC tags, we collect:

  • Tag ID - Unique identifier for each physical NFC tag
  • Tag name - Optional custom name you assign (e.g., "Front Door")
  • Tag URL - Generated doorbell URL in the format ring.doortagg.com/t/[tagId]
  • Tag status - Current status (Reserved, Active, or Paused)
  • Activation date - When the tag was first activated
  • Tags purchased - Number of tags associated with your account

2.4 Communication Data

When you communicate with visitors through our Service:

  • Text messages - Messages exchanged between you and visitors
  • Voice notes (PRO feature) - Audio recordings up to 30 seconds
  • Ring events - Timestamps and history of doorbell rings
  • Visitor messages - Async messages left by visitors

2.5 Household Sharing Data (PRO Feature)

If you use household sharing:

  • Member email addresses - Email addresses of invited household members
  • Member names - Names of household members
  • Member role - Type of access (Owner, Family Member, or Guest)
  • Membership status - Whether the membership is Active or Paused

2.6 Information We Do NOT Collect

We want to be clear about what we do not collect:

  • Location data - We do not track your GPS location or physical address
  • Biometric data - No fingerprints, face scans, or other biometric information
  • Payment information - We do not store credit card or payment details
  • Browsing history - We do not track your web browsing
  • Contact lists - We do not access your device contacts
  • Photos or videos - We do not access your camera roll

When you create an account, activate NFC tags, send messages, invite household members, configure settings, or contact our support team.

Device information when you install the app, push notification tokens, ring event data, and usage data as you interact with the Service.

Our mobile application does not use cookies. We use local device storage (AsyncStorage) to store your authentication token, user preferences, and cached user information.
